On this blog, we are going to take a journey through modern parenting and child development with a blend of creativity and compassion. 

 

As a pediatric occupational therapist, I have had the privilege of working closely with children, parents, and families in their homes, schools, clinics, and communities for over 20 years.  Over these years, I have witnessed the staggering need for the types of services that occupational therapists provide, not only for children with special needs, but also for neurotypically developing children.  This is how the concept for this blog was developed.  An online forum that could potentially reach and impact a broader audience, provide support, encouragement, education, and creative and engaging activities for families with children. 

 

Although you will find a ton of purposeful, functional, and engaging activities and ideas, this is not an occupational therapy blog.  My mission is simply to empower parents with useful tools to nurture their child’s development.
